My Best Experience
During 29th September to 9th October 2010, the Municipality of Nakhon Pathom was the host who arranged the 15th Asian Junior Men Volleyball Championship Nakhon Pathom & Ratchaburi, Thailand. And I had my best experience at Whale Hotel and the Municipality of Nakhon Pathom because I was a liaison.
There had 16 teams that competed in this competition. There were Japanese, Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Korea, Maldives, New Zealand, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and Vietnam. My friends and I knew the news about liaison applying from Aj. Sumrit Thongsima. So my friends and I applied it. The staffs of this competition let each of liaisons picked a label for find the team to take care. For me, I got Japanese Team. And my friends such as Jak, he got Sri Lanka, P’Ton got Australia, P’Pim got Vietnam, P’Ae got Chinese Taipei etc. We had many duties. First we must translate the language from everybody in team to the others who can’t speak English and want to communicate with them. Or in the other hand, translate Thai language to everybody in team when the others want to communicate with team. Second we must book the bus that brought them to the gymnasium for practiced and exercised every day, brought to the big gymnasium when they had the match and brought them to travel at their recommend place. Third collected their uniform and sent all of it to the laundry after their match. At the beginning I wanted this competition finished quickly, but in the end it was opposite. The first day I just knew them a little. The first person who talked with me was Mr. Inoue. The players of the Japanese can speak English just a little. I can’t hear his saying clearly (May be I must have a problem about listening). Mr. Inoue was a person who can speak English more than other persons in team, so I talked to all of them passed him. Although they can speak English just a little some person still talked with me in English language. Some said “Thank you” for me when I did something for him and some gave me a snack or drink. After I took care of them, Japanese team always strict and hard working. But if you stayed with then in a period of time, you will know that they were funny and kind too! A few time pass, I felt happy with this task. I’m felt I was the one in this team. I went with them in every where accept in their bed room and their dining room (it’s a rule that forbid the liaison to eat food in the dining room with the player). Therefore before the last day I gave the key bunch to everybody and they liked it. The key bunch was a hill tribe girl which I bought from Maboonkrong. The day that they will go to their country they wanted to go to shopping at King Power Complex at Rang Nam Road, Bangkok, and ate dinner at Ramayana. So I booked the car for them and I went to send them at Suvarnabhumi Airport too! I walked around the mall with them and had dinner with them (the food so delicious and I really like it because it’s a buffet that I can eat what I want). After dinner we leaved the King Power Complex around 7.30 p.m. and went to the airport. Before they entered the entrance they gave me a team flag that had the signature of everybody on it and everybody shook hand with me. I’m so surprise.
The result of this competition, Japanese team was the winner. The second was Iran team and the third was India team. All of my friends were happy with this task. This task make me grew up and made me encounter with the real situation that I must use English language to speak only. We thought the same that if we had any occasion we will do it again. It’s an honor duty because we were the representative of Thailand who can make the foreigner felt satisfied and comfortable when went to Thailand.
Wow! Nuchy. It's very long. I think I can't find your mistake. *..*
